This manual gives young students information they need to do basic routine maintenance and repair on a bicycle and how to ride safely.It undercuts the technical level of other bicycle repair manuals now on the market. It was developed for ages 10-13, but is also an excellent beginning reference for older students and adults who know very little about bicycles. The manual is illustrated with eighty drawings and photographs. Using this manual the student learns the names of the main bicycle parts, how to adjust the bicycle seat and handlebars, adjust handbrakes, check air pressure in tires, fix flats, do routine maintenance, do a basic bearing overhaul as well as tips on riding safely.
