What do you tell a younger child who wants to know what air is? This fully illustrated book explains air in simple terms, and includes interesting information, such as the existence of air in soil, in water, and in one's body. Fun activities end every chapter giving students the opportunity to see for themselves how how air exists in soil and water, how air takes up space, how it has weight, etc. Students also get to make a pinwheel, a sailboat and parachute, and observe the effect air has on each.
The accompanying learning guide directs the student through the book and activities.
